The Tarmac stage was a surprise, and it really questions what car set up you should run for the two stages. That was a mistake. That's a Germany stage. The whole League setup via the web page is a painful process. You can random autofil in stages, but then it picks from any location and just randomly fills them in. I thought I got them all swapped over for each location, but you need to know the names well enough to spot which are which.

I am not complaining. It was just a surprise to go from snow/ice to dry tarmac.

I seem to get a lot of bouncing back and forth between the snow banks on some stages. Looks like you're on for the win Kev, unless someone else tries it this week.

I find that adjusting the diff to be more "loose" and setting the suspension softer on the snow really helps.

Germany this week! Tarmac. I've done 8\10 at the mo. Just don't wreck your headlights in the night stage as it makes it hard to see afterwards. ...and today the DiRT Daily is one of the Germany stages in Group B Lancia 037 Evo 2. So you can see how mental a Group B car was. Here's my effort today.

I missed the last event, and I am half way through this one. I'm going to give Finland a go maybe tomorrow or Thursday. Fast rally.

Yes, very fast - which leads to big damage if you get it wrong. I have already punctured twice!

Last week of the summer DiRT Rally and it's Pikes Peak Hill Climb. So you get to run this at Afternoon and Sunset. You run it twice at Afternoon- Takes your best time You run it twice at Sunset - Takes your best time. Your two best times get added together for your final time. That should be around 45mins of driving, but only half of that as your final time. Make sense? After each run you can repair (if needed). I managed to lose a rear wing on my first run.

First two runs complete, and I have a lead of 13 seconds - not enough to cover a mistake!

Both runs finished. I managed a reasonably quick run and found out that I had lost my rear wing as the video cut to the outside of the car as it went over the finishing line. I think I can still knock a chunk of time off it though.
This would make a great Christmas competition.
