Been thinking of switching my old G27’s for quite a while now, but having the expensive modded hydraulic pedal (Perfect Pedal) has always made me think twice and if swopping to load cells will be worth the financial hit for any perceived performance gain. Anyway, I eventually got my head around it and was about to hit the button on a set of Heusinkveld Sprints. Unfortunately, during research these showed up: meca.all4sim.cz/ As per normal I returned to the research stage, but not a lot out there as they are quite new. Although they have been included in one of Barry’s normal reviews here: youtu.be/qtGc_XGlA3o and this has now put me right back to where I started, i.e. undecided . Obviously Heusinkveld are well known for their good customer support and I can get a set of Sprints within a week. The new Meca Cup 1’s seem to be the much better buy in my eyes, as price is basically the same as the Sprints. The build quality and adjustment of the parts seem to be of a much higher, sturdier material than the Sprints and again “in my opinion“ they look 10 times better. Main sticking point is to do with the possible need for customer service and Meca All4Sim being unproven. Obviously there could also be the language barrier, if and it is an if, there are any issues. Finally delivery of the Czech pedals will take a month instead of a week. Any thoughts?

Nope, but my Heusinkveld pedals have been faultless since I bought them. They are pretty sturdy, and you can stamp on them. They also have more than enough adjustment, but I don’t have the Sprints....

You are going to miss the feel of your hydraulic brake pedal though.

That’s why I’ve been humming and harring as I’ve never tried a load cell pedal set.

You will get used to it. If I was chosing, I would go with the company with well known customer service. They are showing out of stock though.

There’s an E bay company with 10 sets for sale and delivery date for Wed. Free delivery as well making it cheaper than both DT and Heusinkveld themselves

The HE sprint look like they are well thought out, but I have the impression that Barry was not too keen on them. Have a look at Race Department and get some opinions before committing.

I’ve tried mate (RD that is) but not a lot of response unfortunately. I’ve also tried looking for the Sprints as couldn’t contact the E bay seller and once again all sold out

Okay pulled the trigger after watching the videos again. I’m certain that Barry preferred the Maca Cup 1’s so that’s what I’ve gone for. Just a month to wait now.

Bit of a thread resurrection Wrighty, but how are you getting on with your pedals? I'm looking at exactly the same choice as you did because my pedals are definitely the weak link in my setup.

Well, yes it goes without saying the seat to steering wheel interface in my setup is usually at fault

Very well Andrew . After setting them up I’ve only ever touched them once and that was to move the brake pedal plate . I will say though initially my times never improved, but my old G27 brake was hydraulic (similar feeling). They really are a piece of art and sturdy is an understatement. My initial concerns were about contact if things went wrong, but after posting on their Facebook page (about delivery) I had a response within ten mins. I then contacted them a couple more times through Messenger and every time they responded within minutes . Think the biggest difference between my initial choice of Cup 1’s and the Sprints is down to the software programming being better on the Sprints, but even I was able to use Diview . I watched a video not long ago on the two above mentioned sets and they ended up tied, but this was only down to the software scoring massively for the Sprints. I’ll try and dig it out and link it here . here: Edit (Si): Embedded the video
