Just been running a few laps offline and and FFB on the wheel completely died. No feedback at all just a free spinning wheel as if a fuse had blown? Motion system is failing on a coule of corners and not convinced the other corners are correct either?
Re boot does nothing and wheel software shows Error message.
Looking at the device manager the only thing I can see is under Other Device > PCI Device in properties the following?
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
Click to update driver and to automatically find the driver finds nothing?
and reporting the same for PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller
any pointers would be really really appreciated as I'm struggling here
I'm assuming this is a MOBO issue and looking to update drivers?
This is my MOBO and the list of assorted drivers for it. Any particular ones I need to go for or is it a case of work your way through one by one installing them?

First thing make sure it's not software. Unplug the device.
Then open an "Administrative" CMD Prompt. Type:
SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1 Press return and then: devmgmt.msc
This will open up device manager. Select View > Show Hidden Devices
Go down to the Human Interface Devices and the USB section. Anything greyed out, means it is not plugged in. Right click and choose uninstall.
Then the next time you connect one of those devices, Windows will go through the USB setup for it and find the drivers etc.

I here by formally commit to buying Chalky White several beers should I ever meet him in person There must have been in the region of 40 - 50 greyed out HID devices. Thanks Si you have saved me going down the IT rabbit hole.

Did it fix the issue? Or are you just pleased to tidy up your USB devices?
N.B. Be careful removing things that are not USB in device manager. Some are obvious, like monitors and mice. Others not so.

Looks like I’m sorted.
I’m guessing but the emi problems look to have caused lot of ghosts in the machine. The SFX100 has 5 HID devices at a go so lots were that.

Simon, when I initially purchased my DD wheel I had issues with emi as it was Fixed to wooden desk. Spoke to Jed and he told me to connect a wire direct to wheel with the other end connected to the earth of a plug and plug into a spare socket. Instantly sorted the issue and never had a problem after that.

Earthing for EMi is the normal solution but you only have on motor I have 5 so it's not sufficient to just throw an earth in, in most cases. The motor cables are all shielded and earthed and the USB cables all have ferrite cores at both ends. and I'm about to put a FN2090 filter in line with the servo motor controllers to fiish the job.
The wheel on it's own never gave me any problems?
