With my OS drive (SSD) filling up, I've taken the plunge on a M.2 SSD drive to allow me to move my Steam library. My OS is on a SATA SSD 500GB. I have a free M.2 slot on the motherboard, so I'm going to fill it with a 1TB M.2 drive. This will mean I can move all my games to the 1TB drive and improve loading speeds.
Currently my Steam library is split over a couple of drives, with only a select few games getting the luxury of sharing the SSD drive with the OS. I know the M.2 drive will be quicker than the SATA SSD, but I'm not going to mess around to move the OS. It's quick enough on boot.

I didn't think of that. That's a nice thing to do. It would save 60GB if I did that. However, I also have around 150GB of games on my HDD that I want on SSD too. So, to save me juggling games around I just went for the big SSD drive.

Been using m.2 drives for a while now. I am well impressed with the speed although I think my original m.2 drive is possibly on the way out.
I will have a look at the utility to move the steam library. It looks like it could be useful.
