So I have a week off so started tidying up the cables that have been in a mess since the motion rig was installed. Halfway through and the PC now won’t reboot.
I’ve not done anything to the PC recently so tried different video cables different monitors nothing worked.
PC side off and tried a reboot and the mobo cycles through the EZ leds keep cycling? I’ve awapped the RAM sticks around and tried using single RAM stick and still the same. I’ve replaced the gpu with another working gpu and still the same
All lights up on the board fans kick in. CPU fan runs pauses stops for a seconds and then starts up again?
It feels like the mobo is trying to start up but keeps restarting and in an endless loop?
All plugs etc are firm and checked all external components are unplugged except screen.
I have no idea what else to try?
Any thoughts?

What spares do you have access too, other than those mentioned? It might be worth checking all power cables. If one power lead is out on the board it won't boot. So there's a chance it's the PSU. Even if you have a lower watt PSU you can try it as you only need minimal components powered.
Also, it's worth checking the mobo documentation for any lights as those flashing lights may mean something. Older boards would give you audible beeps for errors.
Post your specs if you want and then I can do some troubleshooting \ searching for you too.

The PSU is 750W Novatech modular unit probably 6 years old?
The LEDs are supposed to stay on with a single colour if there is an error. So cycling through leads me to think it’s not getting to fully boot and restarting?
Several posts on the internet with same or similar symptoms.

Posted a section from the manual in Discord. It does state if you don't see anything in 30 seconds the system may have failed a power on test, check the jumper settings and connections. So in theory you can test the audible beeps. Try and boot with no memory and you should get beeps about it. If not then you know it's not getting that far and you have an issue with power \ connections \ jumpers or a board failure. If the board has failed then a B550 board should allow you to transfer all components over. Also, that will allow you to upgrade the CPU at a later date to the new Ryzen processors etc. e.g. www.overclockers.co.uk/asus-tuf-gaming-b550-plus-amd-am4-b550-atx-motherboard-mb-6f9-as.html
