So the Steam Link in hardware form is being phased out. In fact, you can't buy one anymore in the EU as stocks are depleted. You can however, use the Steam Link App on an Android TV. store.steampowered.com/steamlink/aboutI wouldn't recommend playing rF2 like this, but other games maybe worth a try. The app is free, so have go and try it out. The question is, how do you get your controllers to work? I guess that depends on your device running the app. xbox controllers and PS4 controllers work with the Steam Link hardware. So if you have a controller around then it's worth a go at seeing what you can do. I connect my PS4 controllers to the Steam Link via Bluetooth.

So I tested it on my Sony TV. Sony (in their greatest wisdom) decided that a 4K TV should have a really crappy NIC. So WiFi 5GHz is the best solution. However, it does work.
As I already have the Steam Link in hardware form, I'm going to stick with that. I at least can then use the NIC on the Steam Link and get a better performance.
