Ok so with a username of BistoKid you will be able to tell I am one of your more mature racers heading on for OAP Sunday’s drivers league.
I was around for the birth of video games and my passion has never faltered. I have owned many platforms and have always enjoyed racing, but more recently I took my ageing PC brushed off the dust and purchased AC and rF2. Wow, hooked and upgraded my wheel and pedals to get in to this a little more seriously.
I have not ventured out of single player mode but increasingly want to but have been in fear of ruining others enjoyment; too slow, wrong brake point or racing line. So here goes, what the heck!
I’m a fan of low powered cars as they offer great close pack type racing or is that an excuse for slower reactions as I get old we older 😉
Really looking forward to joining some of you on track!!

Even the more experienced drivers still have incidents with others. It is part of the racing, so don’t worry about it too much. Just make sure you say sorry. It’s a bit of fun, and the guys racing are pretty easy going.

As the others have said, welcome along! We do our best to keep things as relaxed as we can and if you ever have any questions just shout. We do have a few rules but they're all pretty straight forward and designed to make it as enjoyable for everyone as possible. Don't worry about ruining others enjoyment either, as Cagey and Si say, we all have our moments We also tend to favour lower powered cars, as you rightly say it makes the racing closer and more enjoyable so I'm sure you'll love it! Have a look here for all the info you need to get going.

too slow, wrong brake point or racing line. So here goes, what the heck! looks like you'll fit right in Welcome. As long as you don't get mixed up and drive the wrong way into the oncoming traffic you'll be fine.. if you do they'll never let you live it down.

I started with Revs on my BBC Micro, driving with a hand-built wheel and pedals, so you don't have to worry about being, er, too experienced

Welcome aboard. I've only been here a few months, and they do seem a friendly buch.
As to age, you sound about the same as the rest of us. 50 here.
