Hi Guys I am getting HDV error. Does anyone know the best way to fix this? I am running the base trainer with all default data. Do I need to download anything else? Cheers! Simon.

Does it say which file you get the mismatch on? We picked the rTrainer as it's a default car with rFactor. Unless you have an older unpatched rFactor?

Would you be able to put your RTrainer folder into a dropbox file? This way I can rule out the car? Thanks a mil!

I've zipped up the rTrainer folder off the server from: .\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\ rTrainer.rarHopefully that should fix it. That's just the vehicle data. If you still have issues then I'll grab stuff from the Sounds folder too, but I think the HDV error relates to the vehicle files.

Thing is, the Trainer.HDV is in the vehicle folder. The server has a file Trainer.HDV. Date Modified: 21/02/2006 File Size 28KB Maybe rename your rTrainer folder in the vehicles folder to rTrainer.old and make a new one with the one from dropbox?

Cheers. Still not having it - very strange. I have many, many mods on RF and *lots* of cars and tracks for various groups. I just did a fresh install of RF from the main RF files so everything is re-set to OE spec and I still get HDV mismatch. I am going to try and uninstall RF and try again. Not quite sure what is going on - but I can only guess its something somewhere that does not match. Even tried the ISI files from the support page and took all 27 files for the RTrainer and still get trainder.hdv mismatch.

Good news, I got my rFactor in a right tizzy earlier this year and a clean install fixed it too

Standard advice for rF is to have several installs, perhaps even one per mod, so the mods don't interfere with each other and because it loads faster. Then edit the config.ini file in each to point at a shared Locations folder with all your tracks. I went further and the start of mine looks like this, with D:\GAMES\RFACTOR\RFACTOR being the shared build.
