It all looks really good to me, with some great suggestions!
Apologies if this has been mentioned before, I've had a look but can't find anything. Are we sticking to rFactor1 or will we moving to 2 eventually. I haven't downloaded 2, not really bothered either way, but obviously I will need to at some point, if that's the way we will be heading.
Thanks
Chris

Chris, good question and one we will have to address. My gut feel is yes we will move to rF2 but only once we have the back end support programme (for the points and admin etc) and only once there are sufficient tracks and cars to race. Once those are sorted I think we'd have to give everyone a few months notice too and possibly put it to a vote.

I moved your post to a new thread, as this may become another discussion.
My only concern is the dedicated server requirements. SLS, I believe can still be used. If anyone has information on dedicated server hardware requirements, then I'll have a look. At the moment the server is not costing us anything.

You'll all love RF2.. Its a major improvement (no surprise considering how old RF is). There are limited cars and only a few tracks but these will come on . Not sure what server requirements are but I may look into when I get an hour or two spare ..

Still in development atm . Build 300 i think. Good stuff though.
End result should be good. Ffb is awsome with g25.
Re dedicated server - similar to rf1. No cost.

I think the move to rF2 will be the way ahead. Perhaps a list of members who have and can run rF2 is the best way of deciding when to switch? I'm looking to upgrade my pc in the next year so it will be specked to run rF2 . As numbers come up perhaps the odd non championship race in between rF1 series to test the process?

Sounds like a plan Scoops, although I very much doubt we'd switch before the middle of next year at the earliest though. My PC runs it alright but my ageing 2Gb HD6950 will have to be replaced if I want to max out the detail (which of course I do!)

It was released officially some while ago but that was mainly so they could get rid of the "beta" tag and start the clock on everyone's licenses (you pay so much for a year of updates or you can buy a "lifetime" license). Major_Parts has published an rF2 version of the Caterham but it's only the 3D model - the physics are rF1 and in the brief try I had they were all over the place
