I played the original Elite on my Acorn Electron about 35 years ago!
It was wire frame and in dos if remember correctly
I even made my own Expansion Board to upgrade my pc to BBC 'B' standards

I played it on the Acorn Electron, followed by the Amiga that could fill the wire framed shapes in for me. That prevented the accidental attempt at docking from the wrong end of a space station.

I played it on the Acorn Electron, followed by the Amiga that could fill the wire framed shapes in for me. That prevented the accidental attempt at docking from the wrong end of a space station. I spent hours trying to get my spaceship to rotate at the same speed as the space station and get through the entrance without crashing before I realised you could buy a 'docking' button that did it all for you instantly for a few credits!
Oh, the joy of downloading games from cassette tapes
My dad gave me his old IBM (with a disc drive!) soon after and I moved on to Prince of Persia............I then gave up gaming until I discovered RFactor

Well I just tried it out and the new Holo-Me bit is nice, but they seem to have broken the Galaxy Map as I can't plot any routes. Searching the forums and this is known to anyone using over 1080p. So I'll be giving it a rest until they fix it as it's really annoying trying to get around.

So I read that if you reduce the supersampling to x1.0 then it comes back. I checked mine and it was at x0.50 that was the lowest. So I increased it to x1.0 and the pop up menu came back (although offset to the side a bit) that allows me to at least plot a route.
