If anyone is interested I have a pdf copy of these two. Carroll Smith - Tune to Win The end of some chapters have a problems and causes list that's quite helpful. Race Car Vehicle Dynamics (Milken) At nearly 900 pages good luck and you probably need a degree in engineering and aerodynamics to start. Password to download as per server. Both are written for the real world so engine tuning etc probably not what we are looking for but brakes, understeer / oversteer etc might be worth a quick run through especially in the first one as it's broken into chapters of about 10 pages. Neither can be considered a light read but if you are interested in sorting out your own setups a little better then these are apparently the go to reads or just if you are sat by the pool with a beer and you've run out of airport paperbacks to read

Thanks Scoops. I have a paper copy of the first place one, Race car vehicle dynamics was always too expensive to buy it n my Automotive Engineering student days, and I have no need for it now.

It would be a challenge after working on aircraft structures for the last 20 years.
