Thanks Andrew If anyone else is interested I will store all logs posted in a dropbox account linkMy files save automatically in here so all mine are there. If you want to do the same you will need to install the dropbox account and I can give you write access to the folder and you just need to point the data acquisition plugin at the folder in Dropbox.

Does the link have to be opened in Motec? Certainly won't open on my pad.

Have you gleaned any useful info from the logs Simon?

Initially I was loosing time through the first corner for a couple of reasons firstly I was braking too late. Even when I sorted this I couldn't match your speed through there as the car was stable over the curbs so needed to look at the setup. Increasing fast bump and rebound settings seemed to help.
So now it shows for this track that my time loss to you is gradual across the whole lap. The time variation chart is practically a straight line from the start of the lap to the end. This lead me to look at the veh files using the carstat program and it shows the same power engine but the BMW has higher mass and greater drag which on a track that has 3 straights explains why I can't keep up.
The plugin doesn't automatically capture all data as some channels are turned off by default. I'll upload a .in folder with my settings as some of the wheel rotation figures are useful to see when you are locking up and help fine tuning brake bias.
But other than that it's early days and I think it will be more helpful with a single make series.

Interesting and what you say makes lots of sense. The first corner is critical to get right (well they all are ) but the first corner exit speed can vary a lot based on braking point and line through the corner.
