Anyone using this? I may drop some of the trackmap plugin stuff off the screen for this! as you can ask questions and you get the data you want. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFRO_zhV5rU&feature=youtu.beMakes the normal spotter calls on cars left and right which would be helpful for cars with limited visibility or if you are on single screen. The whole thing is adaptable for the amount of feedback the video above just demos what you can have which is probably way too much. Particularly like the phrases used at 1:40 and 2:23 adds to the realism . I might just give it a try on Friday The guys that are putting it together are apparently happy to add names if they aren't already in there. forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/offical-release-of-crew-chief-version-4-auto-updating-and-shiny.2516/The rF2 stuff starts around page 60ish but the first post has all the info on what you can ask him.

I've asked for our names to be added so they will be used in game.
So it will tell you who is behind you, who has the fastest lap, who is pitting etc rather than the car at position 2 etc
I've mapped some tracks for them so they have corner names for several of the tracks we use Cadwell, Oulton, croft and Knockhill so he will now call out that "Wrighty has binned it at Druids" or similar. At least it will if they hopefully put the names in and my corner maps.

How difficult is it to set up Simon? Is it John and Tony proof

It's not too difficult
You need to download and install the main app Instal Windows vice recognition and the language set And copy a file into a plugin folder
Then open and start the app and click on the three update buttons one at a time and restart after each of the three updates. Go to properties and change the grammer to en-GB to match the language pack from window you installed earlier.
Chose a button to allow you to talk to it and your ready to go.
This is off the top of my head but it's roughly the process it's about 10 min job.
Happy to do it for you over teamviewer.

Thanks Simon, I'll give it a go through the week and see how I get on first, before I call in the cavalry

If you install the main app and the Windows voice recognition bits the rest doesn't take long and I can talk you through it on TeamSpeak

I have it installed now. I've set the space bar to allow me to talk back. So what sort of things can I ask my crew chief? Edit: Should have read the big page. Quite a few things I can ask. I'll have to test it out to see if it picks up my mic.

Thanks Scoops. I'll test some more later. I'll have to register on their forum to request a name then? I was thinking of getting 'Emily' added on as it would be nice for when she has a go.

There is a google document somewhere but never been able to add to it as it seems to keep locking down access?
I don't know how old Emily is but you might want to check the sweary messages toggle in the properties.
I have visions of "mummy! Daddies driving game told me I was f@cking shit and to get a move on"

Thanks for the tip on the swearing. I wasn't aware of that. Maybe I'll not have that bit on when she uses it.

So I need to get a better mic really, as I seem to have to shout to get it to hear me. That's probably due to my mic being embedded into my Dell monitor. I must be a little quiet too for you guys on TeamSpeak? Also, it's not perfect for ovals. Normally your times drop off on ovals during a run as you wear down your front right. So being off the pace near the end of a run is normal. Mr Crew Chief tells me that "This isn't what we came here for" during my run. I guess some detection into track type and then message output is probably needed. But otherwise it's rather nice. It adds some more immersion and I'm sure when I change my mic it will be great to ask for stuff and get a reply.

After not being too successful with the Escort download I thought I would move my efforts to this. Couldn't even find the download and after a couple of minutes surfing and reading gave up Think I'll stick with all the basic stuff and wait for you guys to make it so we just press one button
