After not being too successful with the Escort download I thought I would move my efforts to this. Couldn't even find the download and after a couple of minutes surfing and reading gave up Think I'll stick with all the basic stuff and wait for you guys to make it so we just press one button Did you check the 1st post on that Scoops posted? Theres a link to the MSI on that. crewchief.isnais.de/CrewChiefV4.msiand I'll post it here too. You'll still need some other downloads mentioned, like the voice recognition. Use the Microsoft ones mentioned in the post. the Microsoft download links are, for the runtime installer (do this one first) www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=27225For the language packs (use which ever en-XX best suits your location / accent) Find the en-GB one www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27224So that's 3 things to download: - Main Crew Chief MSI
- Microsoft voice recognition (SpeechPlatformRuntime.msi)
- Microsoft language pack (MSSpeech_SR_en-GB_TELE.msi)
Then run SpeechPlatformRuntime.msi (this is the MS speech recognition engine), then run MSSpeech_SR_en-GB_TELE.msi. Finally you can run the Crew Chief MSI.
I can't check all that at the moment, but it should be pretty much straight forward. Then Scoops can talk you through on TeamSpeak.

Si you sound fine to me on TS.
Look at the Crew Chief window and see if it's initialising speech recognition properly, so something like
18:51:04.497 : Load controller settings complete 18:51:04.508 : Attempting to initialise speech recognition for user specified location en-GB 18:51:04.700 : Success 18:51:04.884 : Attempted to initialise speech engine - success = True
Mine didn't initially and the cause was I hadn't specified the "speech recognition location text" default was GB and it should be en-GB.
Click on properties and there is a shed load of options but the one you want is in the middle column 9th one down. Change the text to en-GB (assuming that's the one you have) and scroll to the bottom for the save and restart button.
Worth a try.

Yeah that links messed up. So that's not you. I can't even select a file from it. I'll try and pop the files up somewhere for you later Tony.

Crew chief downloaded as well as the speech from your dropbox, but wont let download rf2 shared memory.
Says it does not have a program associated with it... could it be due to having rF2 in my D drive and this trying to download to C drive (can't see how to point to D drive)

It sounds like you are trying to open the shared memory plugin. You just need to put it in the right place, it doesn't need to be 'installed' as such.

You just download those plugin.dll files and then copy the 32.dll one to your rFactor2\Bin32\plugins folder and the 64.dll one to your rFactor2\Bin64\plugins folder.

Tony if Crew Cheif isn't working just check that you open Crew Cheif then you press the start application button. Open rF2 and go to a track then close down rF2 and look at Crew Cheif.
Did Cre Cheif play a sound at any point? It should say radio check? If not are volumes turned up in Crew Cheif at the top?
If you didn't hear radio check and volumes are ok copy the text in the Crew Cheif window and post it here.
