A while ago I looked at the Tobii EyeX (Eye tracking device) Since reading about Tobii putting their eye track tech into a VR headset, I went to their web page to see that they have a new product called the 4C. It appears to have been out for a while. The 4C adds head tracking to the original Tobii EyeX. It looks pretty good and you don't need to wear any hats with it. tobiigaming.com/eye-tracker-4c/I've watched a few YouTube clips on it's use in Elite Dangerous that certainly make it look nice. I was wondering how it would work with a game that is not listed on their site like rFactor2. Having head and eye tracking in a race sim like rF2 would mean I probably wouldn't need triple screens. Of course getting the purchase past the wife is another thing.

I think there’s lots of innovation linked to VR that will change over the next 5 years or so. I think perhaps the next gen of racing sims will be the ones to really exploit VR. It feels at the minute that the current batch of sims are adapting to it rather than being fully compliant with VR.
Exciting times ahead though!

Looks good and a natural progression from TrackIR. Not sure I have any need to upgrade as I'm sure VR will suck up the eye tracker tech fairly quickly.
