Back on sale @ £7.99.
I have just bought it. The reviews are excellent and if enough interest we could have some stages set up over the summer when we tend to have a bit of a break. That way people can still get their. Competetive fix of racing without committing to the Friday night.
I know Si has it so that makes 2 anyone else has it or interested enough to drop £8 to steam?

Even before giving this ago I’m thinking about a handbrake 😄 Just me? I use a button on my wheel. The non-broken (left) one behind the wheel that I'm supposed to use for gear changes. The right one probably has a dry joint as it's temperamental. Hence using a sequential stick for my gears for every type of car.

Having a few problems with graphics settings and the menu controls but starting to get there and getting the hang of it. Brucey it has Lydden Hill !!! Yeah Rally Cross is mental. I haven't loaded it up for ages. Couple of tips for rally sections: - Drive at 70% of what you think you should be going at. Trying to get 100% for each stage will mean you will crash. Actually it's better to get through slower and not crash. Don't be a Kris Meeke.
- Set the pace notes to at least 1 notch earlier in the settings. I find the default pace notes tell me too late on some stages.
- Map a handbrake button (Needed for rally cross too), but you don't always need it.
and there are no pace notes for Pikes Peak. It's just a mental hill climb.
Do the DiRT Daily in Career -> Online Events each day if you can. It's a single stage, with a different car each day. It's cost nothing if you bin it and you get to test out a new car \ stage.
You can test any car \ stage in 'Custom Events'. So by all means have a look through and try the different class cars out. As I'd rather we have something we all want to drive when we run our summer competition. The cars don't get harder from 1960s up to 2010, just they are different classes. Here's some idea on what you have. 1960s - Slowest 1970s - A bit quicker but still fun 1980s - A bit quicker again Group B 4WD - Mental Group B RWD - Did you not get the mental bit and you only want RWD! Group A - Quick F2 Kit - Nice to drive (not too quick, not too slow) R4 \ 2000 \ 2010 - Progressively quicker than Group A

Thanks for the tips. I have the game but haven't played it much - and hardly at all since getting VR because driving at 100% means crashing means motion sickness I'll try to drive at 70%
