Ill be watching dipping in and out through the 24hrs.
I think Mark Webber’s move a few years ago into WEC add in Button and Alonso and I think interest in Le Mans and WEC is on the up.
It will never happen without contract changes but would be interesting to have more current F1 drivers taking part.

Any idea what happened to the #11 car?

“The issue with the #11 SMP Racing LMP1 entry is a sensor failure deep in the car, according to Jenson Button. That car has been in the garage for a good while, but its team entry runs third overall.”

Some impressive laps from Alonso through the night but I think most people would have predicted a No. 8 victory.
Not sure whether there will be any rule changes for next year as it’s in the same super season?

I don't like the stint length rule. But then they are trying to get lmp1 cars to match up. However, that's only to give the hybrid an advantage as they use less fuel. But GTE Pro doesn't need a stint length. They use BoP to match GTE Pro, so I don't get why stipulate stint length too?
It was an OK race. I got to watch most and put the BT app on my ipad to watch it from the bedroom through the night. I just miss the more intense Lmp1 battles. Hopefully 2020 and the new Hyper Lmp1 cars will bring the manufacturers back. I can't blame Toyota for dominating, as it was the other manufacturers that dropped out and left them in.
