Itās around Ā£1400 depending on where you source the parts and you need to add a 3D printer to that if you donāt have one or access to one. You can get the 3D parts printed by sending off the file to various online providers but the costs apparently are very similar to buying one and doing it yourself.
To put into context a d box system is $17000 and apparently has less travel. There are people who have built a SFX100 and sold their D Box.

Does it have rear traction loss Simon?

A mere 3KW installation just for the SFX100.
You guys are really taking this to another level. Maybe I will join you, one day.....

It doesnāt have rear traction loss per say but apparently delivers a response to traction loss that people report as being good.
The 3kw is the max for all of the actuators 4x750 KW the in use power gets nowhere near that. There are some posts in the thread I linked to above that monitor power consumption as some people were concerned by the use.

Anyone thinking of doing this and a bit twitched with the electronics the the group buy shield gives you a pretty much plug and play for that part of the build. This might be the last time they do it so for around ā¬20 each ( I think that was the last cost) itās not much of a risk if you are toying with the idea. Iāve ordered a 3D printer so can help people on here with that ( assuming I can do it my self) The rest is largely a big airfix kit from bits across the world. Slowly pulling the parts together as there are a fair few which does mean you can spread the cost out over a period of time. The largest single cost is the 4 servo motors @Ā£750 ish. The rest is bought piecemeal. m.youtube.com/watch?v=2uuAP3ysJncApparently people are selling their seat movers and funding these.

Do you need a programme to run it, i.e. such as Simcommander etc?
Now Iāve got to grips with Simcommander 4 it allows so many different settings. Im still undecided at the moment on the amount of movement to be used. Most videos, show the driver being thrown all over the place, but mines set to be a little more subtle. Maybe itās because of my shoulder, I really havenāt tried the thrown around method yet. Although it came close the other night when I hit the wall at 200mph, nearly threw me out of my chair.š. Very happy with mine (especially the price) and couldnāt contemplate building one as my electronic skills are nearly as bad as my PC onesš¤Ŗ

Yep thereās a program for it and lots of shared profiles. You can turn the effects down easily enough.
For the electronics the group buy takes it all away so you are plugging leads in.

People with the seat movers like the way the whole rig moves? So the pedals shifter and wheel all move together. With the seat mover the pedals etc not moving takes something away in terms of immersion compared to the SFX100
