Once you are sorted Tony try the P3 Rocco round Guapore. It's an easy track to learn but it's real skin of the job to wring a fast lap out of it esp. the final corner you can't lift to get a fast lap but all the time the grass is creeping closer and closer an inch either way and its win or bust! Of course you will jump on and be 33 secs faster than me on the fist lap but I can dream

No time today as I've continued to work on my rig. Maybe give it another go tomorrow or possibly later tonight.

Well, that was fun! I started with the 360R at Cadwell and thought "What the hell? This oversteers wildly!" and couldn't get on with it all. I decided the answer was to try the 620R at Oulton fearing the worst but found it much more driveable. After a couple of races I went back to the 360R, at Donington and it was much more controllable - maybe I just needed to recalibrate after driving F1 2019 all weekend. Back to Cadwell and had a superb 10 lap dice to take second (and fastest lap). It doesn't feel anything like my car but just possibly that's because my car is set up for the road (even after I've tweaked it for a track day). Though I can't believe a 360 can be that lairy when my R400-equivalent just sits down and goes when I poke the throttle. I wrapped up with a quick go in the Ultima at VIR. Initial verdict: I had no trouble setting up my mere G25 and VR was fine without touching anything (though replays were not great) which was a lovely change after the endless fiddling to get rF2 and worse ACC to be half decent . The game is rough even for Early Access (why does the driver put his hand in the gearbox to change gear? ) and the modelling (of the Caterham interior especially) really is not up to modern standards but I'm going to keep it and hope that it improves. I bought ACC when it was cheap (and didn't even have VR) and will take a punt on this - there are no pockets in shrouds and who knows what the future holds.

Well thanks to Andy I’m up and running. Reset everything back to square one and had to start over again, this time it worked. Ended up having to change the in game settings to Project Cars 2 to get the seat mover to work. We still had a few issues with the FF as although the wheel turned and paddles changed there was no FF at all. After a quick Google it was a case of having to start all over again!! to get it going. Only drove the Caterham 360R and spent all night racing in the lobbies Andy set up. Really good fun, but can’t remember my 7’s ever driving like this . Very, very easy, and predictable sliding on the cards . I will say the drivers on AMS2 were much better behaved than the AC and ACC public servers I visit. Although one major glitch is getting too close to the car in front will send it flying, even though you don’t actually touch it . All in all good fun, but unfortunately my pecking order puts it down in 4th, in my collection of 5 Sim racing games and I rank them as 1st rF2 - mainly because I’m the most competitive in rF2 and love the FF. 2nd AC - so much choice with cars and tracks and love the graphics. 3rd ACC - only due to now having decent VR graphics. Love the FF but restricted to the GT3 cars and Ltd track choice. 4th AMS2 - May move up the pecking order as it develops, but too soon to rate it any higher. 5th DR - Not my thing full stop. Finally, Simon we saw you playing AMS2 (pop up Steam friend) so Andy tried to message you so you could join us. We used the Sim Junkie Discord channel but unfortunately you didn’t respond . Tony next time I open Steam I’ll send you a friends request so you can monitor who’s playing what

Glad you are up and running and it was fun 👍🏻
The multiplayer contact issue is getting sorted and the FF is still changing each week. Which version of the ff did you use and what settings are you using in game?
I messaged Andy back as I was only on for 5 mins or so then had to go out.

Dirt Rally championship it is then Glad you got it all working. Try the weather next. Fog and rain was amusing and will test your graphics settings. I found the AI like to turn into you on the apex, but it didn't cause me any big offs. It was just a bump. BTW - Racing trucks around Brands Indy took some adjustment from the Caterhams.

I found the AI the same in that they seem to leave a gap on the inside of some corners that is just TOOOOOO tempting and then they turn in and just bump you and then hold their line. Unless I'm on the ragged limit I don't get taken out. Truck racing feels odd to me waaay too high up Try the P3 Rocco I'm really loving it at the minute. I also really like the time trial as it means you can learn from others faster than you to some degree which over time should mean closer racing for Wrighty

Mandatory ballast for anybody faster than me will mean for closing racing.

Or just a mandatory SiG Racing tow rope between all cars I watched a banger race like that once didn't last very long

Depends which version you used and at what track as I'm okay in the 175bhp version, still not as quick as Andy though . I had a quick go in the 620R and hated it. Couldn't get on with the physics and to me it didn't feel like you were driving a car never mind a Caterham . I'm starting to get into ACC at the minute, so not really a lot of time to practise on AMS2, but I'll still keep an eye open and watch to see who's playing what
